Hurricanes Football Club Holds Spring Training Camp

Friday, April 21, 2017. Charlottetown – The Holland Hurricanes Football Club, a member of the Atlantic Football League and three-time winner of the Moosehead Cup, is holding a spring camp April 28 to 30. Prospects playing high school and varsity football aged 15 and older are welcome to attend.

The camp starts on Friday, April 28, with a team meeting at 6 p.m. in the gym in the Centre for Community Engagement on the college’s Prince of Wales Campus in Charlottetown. Following the meeting, there will be a hog jog and workout.

Saturday’s camp will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on April 29 at the Norton Diamond Soccer Complex in Stratford, where the players will undergo 40-yard time trials and field drills.

On Sunday, April 8, at the Norton Diamond Soccer Complex in Stratford, camp will start at 9 a.m. with team field drills and play development. Prospect drills and play development will run from 11:30 to 3 p.m. The final two hours of the camp, from 4 to 6 p.m., will be held at UPEI Alumni Canada Games Place.

Camp registration is $10. Football equipment will be supplied, but participants must bring cleats, sneakers, T-shirts and shorts, as well as outerwear for Sunday evening at U.P.E.I. Please confirm attendance in advance by emailing football@hollandcollege.com.
